It is almost always a better idea to adapt one's strategy based on what the game's random offerings provide than it is to go out of one's way in pursuit of a certain build. Whether creatures, items, or boons, it's always uncertain what cards the player will get and how late into the run they might appear. RELATED: Hearthstone: The Best Duel Decks Whether one is fond of the Insect Tribe, cards with the Airborne Sigil, or elusive rares like Ouroboros, it's all too easy to develop tunnel vision with one's deckbuilding. As a result, many players try to commit themselves to a single strategy, bringing it to run after run, regardless of what the game's RNG throws at them. As these unsuccessful runs accumulate, the player gets a better sense of the game, its interlocking mechanics, and its strategies. Let me know if you want any card building advice, until some rich guy creates an academy to learn this game we'll have to stick to helping each other out. Most players will have a number of failed runs before finally beating Act 1. There are a lot of crazy strategies you can try, just think it through before you finalize. Finally there are bad sigils which don't benefit the user at all and slapping one on will actually give you points to use to improve your card in another area, these sigils include annoying and brittle. Some sigils that alter card behavior can be situationally good or bad so they are considered neutral sigils and don't cost any points to add, these include detonator and airborn. Some sigils are considered purely beneficial like touch of death and unkillable, these will cost you points to add. Finally sigils can be altered, but they are a bit more complicated. Health and attack stats cost points to increase. Setting energy cost to max can give you more points to spend on other stuff setting cost to zero loses points in your budget. There are three basic setting categories to alter: energy cost, attack and health stats, and sigil. Once you line up a starting budget you can use the arrows to reset stats to make a card you like that doesn't blow your points budget. For instance a card with quills and touch of death is probably worth more points than a card with no sigil. I don't fully understand how scrapping works but generally speaking the better the card the more points you gain. The starting points budget is determined by which card you scrap, my advice is to use your down arrow to back out and compare which card gets you more points.

You choose a card to scrap and then you get points you can spend to upgrade your new card. The build a bear workshop is where you get to make your own card. Finally there are wrenches which indicate the fabled build a bear workshop, I'll explain that one in depth later.

You also will find a few swap arrows, these are card trades with PO3 and I believe some of them are unavoidable. Not my favorite but they can be used to thin your deck. There are recycling bins, which allow you to scrap one card for cash. There are also gems the gem power up gemifies a card which gives it power ups based on what color vessel you play from your side deck (you can change vessel colors once you reach the gem power up part of the map where magnificus' tower is).

Overclocked cards get a stat boost, but if the card is destroyed in battle you lose the card forever. Then there are lightning bolts, these allow you to overclock a card. There are computer drives, these pull up three sigils at random and you can pick one of the sigils to give to one of your cards. Here is a run down of the power ups you can stumble across. Darker still are the secrets inscrybed upon the cards. Inscryption is a narrative focused, card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie.
